HHL was the first private business school in the German-speaking region to be accredited by AACSB International (AACSB) in 2004. AACSB is a global nonprofit association, connecting educators, students, and business to achieve a common goal: to create the next generation of great leaders. The mission of AACSB International is to foster engagement, accelerate innovation, and amplify impact in business education. In line with HHL’s mission statement and commitment to continuous improvement we have been successfully reaccredited in 2009, 2014 and 2019.

Financial Times European Business School Rankings

The Financial Times ranking of European business schools assesses the combined performance of Europe’s leading schools out of four FT rankings: Full-time MBA, Executive MBA, Master in Management and non-degree Executive Education programs. HHL reached position 64 in Europe (Master in Management #33) and is ranked among the top 7 business schools in Germany. Regarding the criterion salary today, the HHL MiM program ranks at the top of the European business schools with EUR 140,418.

    In the nationwide (Germany) CHE University Ranking HHL is ranked by its Master students with outstanding results in the following categories:

      HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management received continued recognition as a one of the best places for aspiring entrepreneurs in Germany. Occupying the top spot for the previous rankings in 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018 and 2020, HHL maintained its first-rate rank among the small universities in the Startup Radar ranking published by Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft (Founder’s Association for German Science), which encompasses all German business schools and universities with up to 5,000 students.

        The Financial Times continues to rank HHL’s full-time MiM Program among the leading Masters in Management programs worldwide. HHL scores particularly high in the categories of career service, networking opportunities and salary statistics:

        • #3 worldwide for Alumni Network
        • #4 worldwide for Career Service
        • #4 worldwide (#1 in Europe) for Alumni Salary (average graduate salary three years after course completion is USD 140,418)

          In the QS Masters in Management Ranking 2025 HHL stands out in the following categories:

          • Value for money: The Master in Management program ranks among the top 20 worldwide for this indicator, scoring an exceptional 94,5 out of 100. This puts HHL well above the global average of 61,3. In the subcategories return on investment HHL scored 99,8 and in payback month* the program scored 78.
          • Employment rate: HHL scores 85,2 out of 100, which indicates that the vast majority of MiM alumni have accepted job offers three months after their graduation.

            MBA Program Rankings

            QS GLOBAL MBA RANKING 2025

            In the QS Global MBA Ranking 2025 HHL stands out in the following categories:

            • Return on investment (ROI): The MBA program ranks number 12 worldwide for this indicator, scoring an exceptional 97.9 out of 100. This puts HHL well above the global average of 61.5. This is an improvement from last year. The years ranking once again confirms that this is the MBA that pays off!
            • Employment rate: HHL scores 81,8 out of 100, which indicates that the vast majority of MBA alumni have accepted job offers three months after their graduation.
            • Gender balance: With a score 85 out of 100 HHL has a well-balanced gender ratio in the MBA class.

              AméricaEconomía MBA Ranking 2022

              HHL has once again successfully demonstrated its position among the top MBA programs. In its most prestigious ranking in Latin-America, the business magazine América Economía ranked HHL’s MBA Program #39 worldwide, highlighting HHL’s special strong suits in innovation and diversity.
              The HHL MBA program excels in the category ‘innovation’, scoring 94.4 out of a possible 100 points. This puts the business school in 13th place worldwide and 2nd place in Germany. The full-time MBA program also has a high proportion of female students and is among the top 10 in this category worldwide with 46% percent women.

                The Economist Full-time MBA Ranking 2022

                The business magazine The Economist rates HHL’s full-time MBA program with top marks in its current best list. According to the magazine the MBA is ranked #4 in Germany, #23 in Europe and #84 worldwide.
                HHL is rated with particularly good scores at #2 in Germany in the category “career service”. Europe-wide, the career development team is among the top 10 – with a ranking of #8. Worldwide, they are represented in the top 50 (#47).
                In the category that captures the further career path of students, HHL also comes in at the top. MBA graduates have top chances of receiving a job offer just three months after graduation. For this, HHL also ranks #2 in Germany.
                Furthermore, HHL excels in salary growth: It is ranked in the top 3 in Germany, #11 in Europe and also in the top 50 worldwide (#48).
