HHL’s Professor Pinkwart Honored by the German Startup Association

Best Support Award for Prof. Dr. Pinkwart

The former Dean of HHL Leipzig Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, who currently holds the Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, has received the Best Support Award from the German Startup Association.

He was nominated for his outstanding and verifiable commitment to the German startup ecosystem, e.g., by improving the conditions for founding a business and intensifying the exchange between the economy, society and politics. The award was given out by the German Association of Startups, which honors the best founders, investors and supporters from more than 650 candidates. The laudatory speech was given by Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The current Dean of HHL, Prof. Stephan Stubner, congratulates his predecessor and present Minister of Economic Affairs of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, saying,

Also, during his time as Dean of HHL until 2017 and as holder of the Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, he has provided vital impetus which continues to have an effect up to today. For instance, HHL has been ranked as the best entrepreneurial university in Germany for the fourth time already. I would like to congratulate Prof. Pinkwart on this recent, well-deserved accolade both personally and on behalf of HHL.”
