With the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) entering into force on January 5, 2023 sustainability reporting and auditing will also become mandatory for medium-sized companies.

A survey was conducted with companies in cooperation with Grant Thornton on the topic of sustainability and sustainability reporting. The Accounting Talk will address the results of the survey and at the same time show what the biggest challenges are for medium-sized companies and how auditors can provide the best possible support in the introduction and implementation of sustainability reporting and auditing.

The presentation will address the following questions:

  • What is the current relevance of sustainability for German medium-sized companies?
  • What are the goals of medium-sized companies around ESG?
  • What is the status quo regarding sustainability reporting and auditing in medium-sized companies?
  • Where can the auditor provide specific support for the implementation and audit?
